Part B: A Summary of Revised Rules
1. This year we introduce the junior and senior sessions, which makes up to a total of 3 categories of 6 sessions. (Part C)
2. Method of submission will be announced later. (Part F)
3. For a fair competition, combined photos will not be allowed. (Part F)

Part C: The Categories
We will have three major categories: Figure, Mecha and Diorama.
Under each category, we will have a junior and a senior session.

Figure Clarification

There are a few general criteria that must be observed:
1. A Figure entry will count on the KIT only. The base or its background environment will not be considered as part of the judging criteria.
2. Figure must be resin. It CANNOT be a PVC figure or Plastic Model .
3. Scratchbuilding and conversion of existing resin figures are highly encouraged.

Mecha Clarification
1. A Mecha entry will count on the KIT only. The base or its background environment will not be considered as part of the judging criteria.
2. Accessory add-ons are defined as any other elements that are not the main body of the kit. They Can be removed and the kit will still be able to Stand on its own and Be easily recognized as a kit .
3. Accessory add-ons can be made by plastic and other materials, while the main body must be Resin . There is one Exception , however. If the entry is a Resin Conversion Parts Set , then the main body can be plastic.
4. Scratchbuilding and conversion of an existing Mecha are highly encouraged.

Diorama Clarification
The basic components of a diorama should contain a base, at least two models and with lots of extras. Plastic model kits and PVC figures are allowed for the diorama section - as long as at least ONE model in the scene is a Resin Kit .

Judging Focus
A qualified diorama MUST tell some story, action, or event . We are especially serious in looking for highly customizable works which feature INTERACTIVITY between models (or characters). A lack of these elements will cost points when being judged. That means whether one can make the whole scene as vivid as possible and highlight the exchange and actions between characters, will be the key to victory. Just putting a few related models on a fancy base will NOT be a very good diorama.

Some good examples:

Diorama 2008--Menace & Anubis by Amakusa Shiroh Tokisada
Diorama 2007--Nakoruru Attack Pose & Haomaru by ogami
Diorama 2006--Grassopher do an ambush to the spider by p.tor
Diorama 2006--Getting ready for the Christmas party by fenshing
Diorama 2006--X'mas Market by jrosin
Diorama 2005--The fire is mortal by Adi
Diorama 2003--Hygogg Assult by GameraBaenr

Diorama aims to give more freedom and allow more creativity. However those who abuse the rules will be disqualified without prior notice. If further clarification is required, you should address it before registration ends.

A description can be provided to describe the scene. It may help others to understand more about your work, but the work itself should be self-explanatory enough. It is absolutely NOT a tool for telling the story or action and thus will NOT count in judging.

Part D: Eligibility, Terms & Conditions
1. You must be a member of BOTH E2046 Store and Forum.
2. All participants must first complete the registration procedure; otherwise any submission will not be considered.
3. You may enter all three categories, but you are limited to ONE entry each . Moreover, you can only join either the junior or the senior session, but not both.
4. The same kit MUST NOT be submitted for different categories, e.g. a figure must not appear in a figure entry and a diorama at the same time.
5. All entries must be participant's own work. Judges have the right to acquire proof from participants to show that their works are original.
6. As a GK competition aimed for fun, sharing and to realize the spirit of modeling, it is important that participants submit a Completely New Work made for the contest. Or the contest would lose its value.
7. Any photos, whether it is incomplete work, completed work or work-in-progress snapshots, must not be disclosed on E2046 Forum before entry posting. If discovered it will lead to direct disqualification.
8. Kit bashing and conversions are permitted and encouraged as long as the above rules are observed.
9. Judges cannot participate in this contest.
10. Judges have the right to disqualify any entries violating the Rules and Regulations.
11. Any dispute must be submitted on 25 Jun 2009 or before. After the case is received, the judges will investigate into the issue.
