Hi Minna-san~! This is my first time entering the Contest. ^_^ I hope you will like my first diorama. Everything is handmade EXCEPT Cloud and his Hardy Daytona. (He and his motorcycle are a Resin Kit, it was assembled and painted also by me of course but NOT created like the other parts of the diorama) My idea was around Corel Desert and the Corel Prison. In the end the Corel Prison showed only on my background painting mysteriously. (I painted a Shin-Ra sign to the building. :DDD) The desert hills were made of EPS foam (at Hungary we call it "Hungarocell" maybe here they produce it, I don't know really^^) and gips or gypsum. The size of the base is about 90cm x 60cm. (it became big and heavy. x'D) The highest hill is about 30cm high. One of my old cork board has been used for its base. Desert pigments has been used to make it more realistic. ;) I painted two 100cm x 70cm paintings as background. It was fun as a beginner. :D I painted a night and day background too. Cactuar was made of an old brush + putty and 3 pieces of brass rod. I used Tamiya, Humrol and Vallejo paints too for the diorama. (Background was painted with acryl.) Every comments are welcome! ^^

Nice job on creating environment! A little advise - pay more atention on shooting. We think there was more potential in your diorama if shooted properly. Find dramatic angles and grotesque perspective. It would be necessary to add bigger background but there will be much better impression of the scene. (and there is no need to buy expencive camera. Half of pictures in our contest entry this year was shooted on iPhone with the cheapest wide lens clip)

Thank You for your words! I have seen your works (ZOMG they are GOOOOD:D) so it's an honour for me.^^
You're right, my shooting is not too professional but honestly I don't mind.^^ I am not a pro I'm just an amateur who likes to paint figures, to do this hobby. My shooting reflects exactly the same, a littlebit amateur, a littlebit unprofessional, I know, but this is me.
(and I have only a Samsung phone, the iPhone is a littlebit expensive for meX'''DDDDDDD)

I hope You will be the Diorama Champion this year too, Your actual work is astounding again!! :D

I can assure you - I'm also very amateur, Yaten. I Never learn photography and not even read how to photoshoot. I was only enthusiastic in it ans had a lot of practive testing my every camera in different conditions ) And our first champion diorama in 2014 was shooted on very old and cheap camera Canon S5is. The quality of picture is not a quantity of megapixels of expencive optics. Your Samsung is quite good in shooting as I can see on your pictures. Good picture it more about proper lighting and shooting angle. I think it can be very interesting in our hobby - to try making interesting results on shooting our beloved figures, acheiving better and better results) So I wish you to find a little passion in photography )
