as always(FSS), beautiful mech kit. little hair dryer work for head deco
My only complain is the shallow markings on the shields. Be very careful when sanding these parts.
First off, thank you, e2046, for this garage kit at a good price after sale & VIP discount. This kit is not for beginners, but for someone in between beginner & intermediate modeler. Packing was top notch. The kit was built by a factory with the same irony-white liquid synthetic resin in the newer kits. You should wear a dust mask while sanding & a respirator while airbrushing. I recommend 5-min epoxy instead of instant glue because you can fix any problems before they become permanent. Pros: Low part count (89) for such a large scale (28.5 cm from tip of horn to toe). Standard FSS stance. Good cast. Near perfect surfaces. No air bubbles. Some parts engraved with L or R. Just about the right amount of detail like recessed lines & mechanical parts which I enjoyed painting & lining. Choice of 3 different color schemes: white, red & medium gray. Cons: Oversimplified & vague Japanese instructions. Some parts were hard to figure out where to place. Both arms should tilt outwards like the newer gunpla. Keep test-fitting until you get it right before gluing. Warped sword. Some misalignments. It took me 3 tries to get the legs & lower torso right. The upper body tilted a bit backwards so I sanded the bottom of the waist/stomach. A bit of flash here & there. Some pegs had to be cut off or trimmed to fit the holes. The kit is not the 1st large scale FFS resin kit I've built, but it's the 1st one to get me hooked on large scale. I'd recommend this kit as a good stepping stone on your way to larger builds.
First, it's 1/100 scale:) Everything is alright about this kit : recast ok, numerous part.
The size smaller than you think. State is a decent piece of kit.
Thank you! Thanks to me to change my address ... It could get better! We must hope a good deal!
Received the kit today. I was worried after reading some of the other feedback about bad cast. Overall the casting was not bad, it is not as good as the other kits from E2046 but I have definitely seen worst from other companies.
Poor, almost a fail recast. Details in many areas are mushy and full of imperfections; the chest was a waste of resin altogether. Thankfully E was kind enough to replace that portion. However, there are other parts of the kit that E did not replace. Underfoot detail was shoddy; the fine Volks sculpting was ruined by bad moulds and there are large globs of resin where they should not be. Many parts need to be resculpted. The detailing is sharp in some areas and softer in others. There are mould alignment problems in the horns of the Phantom and the tendrils were cast rather poorly to boot. Although many of the parts are 7/10 for casting, some of them range to a 4/10. I give this kit an overall rating of 5.
I could not wait to get my hands on the Phantom. Would I have been more patient I would have ordered the red Phantom (the Hair looks more interesting). The cast is perfect, as always.
So Kit arrived fast as always :),but this time...hmm..many airbubbles here, and a lot of "sprue-flesh" no problem with this, but it will eat time to handle it.But anyway its a very high detailed kit--good product.
MH Phantom has arrived safely and all the parts are in excellent condition. No missing or broken parts and there are no seams and very little flash. The photo's watermark is at the bottom and is ver discreet. I'm a big fan of the Five Star Stories mecha and Fatimas so an MH Phantom in my collection will look really great. Thanks for a great kit E :-)
beautiful kit, very attractive and aggressive. the recast in this time is not excellente, there is a lot some bubbles and some pieces aren't perfect, but sometimes can happen with resin kit. in any case a kit recommended
okay, this is the one i've been waiting for, and is worth the wait. Kit is in excellent condition, all parts are there, minor seem lines, but overall great quality. This is the only site i trust and like, buyers will not regret
RT1323 1/100 MH Phantom Volks SAV version, no complaints. RT1499 1/100 Gastness Temple Version 2 A bit of a rough cast around the edges of parts. thanks
I can never find anything bad to say about Simon and the e2046 staff. Once again their service was great. I recieved the kit in 3 days within the shipping date. The quality of the resin is very sharp. No details were damage in the casting process. None of the parts were broken. The kit itself seems pretty easy to assemble. It looks like the kit is plain and simple, but there are a lot of small pieces that make it more complex that what it seems. Great kit, quality, and service. Pleasure to buy from here.
I have ordered this garage kit as soon as it appear from E2046, and the kit has exceptional recast quality. Fast delivery (only about 2 days) and good packaging. Most parts of this garage kit is recast in high detail, and almost no air-bubble. Very very little seam lines, and perfect fitting in all joints. I guess I can always expect the best quality product and service from E2046. I will keep ordering as soon as I see another new FSS kit I like. Thank you once again, E2046.
Received my order today which contained two Phantoms. As usual, clean casting.
Well, I was very happy to recieve this kit, and most of the parts are superb in terms of casting. There are, as always, a share of imperfections on them. Such as a bit of crud in the recessed details in areas such as the legs. The lower torso and groin are very well casted. The horns that go on the helm have a small bit of misalignment problem. A very good recast, however, there are two dissapointing parts. Part 70 - the ribbons, and part 7 - the upper torso. The upper torso had thin parts, simply caused by large bubbles trying to surface, but never making it to the top. There are also deformities, where the recasters cut the part from the sprue - a big gouge exists. As well, at the front of the torso, only three of the four recesses have been successfully recasted. e2046.com said that they would replace this one part. As for part 70, the workshop feels as though there is no problem. And I? I feel as if this were a load of crock. The ribbons are smothery on their edges, their hinges, misaligned. They have bubbles, and one of the rubbons is shorter than all of the rest. That, and it suffers from a bad mould that allowed resin to leak between the natural seams at the joining of the ribbons, making it look like a small puddle of resin. Although this may be over-anal, after seeing my friend's original Phantom and holding very high standards for workshops that claim to put fourth High Quality Recasts - my last order (8407 and this) seems to go against the trend a bit. Yes, yes. There are some excellent parts which rival the original's casting. But then, once in a while, you find a dud in the pile, which doesn't seem to be even casted by the same workshop. And oh, then they refuse to replace the damned part. I much respect the fast and helpful customer service at '46.com, and I greatly thank Simon and Chun along with their support staff for answering my emails so quickly. I must also state that they, themselves (e2046.com) is not the worskshop, but are simply retailers. However, I feel as though I should be fourtright in the expression of my experiences so that others may make wise choices. Myself? Will I doubt coming to '46.com for a FSS resin kit in the future? Yes, I have to say I would - but I still would be willing. But my overall experience is still a pleasant one.
